The Challenge
Following a long period of old-style reporting architecture Anadolu Efes were looking to establish a new-generation enterprise-wide data analytics platform. In order to do this, they chose to focus firstly on setting up a DataWarehouse and Big Data platform that consolidates data located on different sources.
Since the reporting process was mostly based on manual operations (Excel files, e-mail, etc.), the lack of an established reporting platform was causing data accuracy and consistency problems. The urgency of creating accurate, versatile and visually rich sales reports and dashboards, which was expected to be consumed by a large sales team was an important challenge. Another requirement was making those reports available on mobile devices so visuality was an important expectation.
Additionally, other business departments like finance, quality management, product planning, materials management, HR etc. require data analytics reports that can help their decision-making process. It was quite a challenge to understand the business process details as well as the data structure of the ERP tool used (SAP).
What did

After a detailed analysis and design phase, delivery of the following high-level scope was raised:
